Abstract

Tuvya Zaretsky is a U.S. citizen of Ashkenazi, or East European, Jewish ethnicity. His father’s family immigrated to Canada from Belarus. His mother’s family moved to New York from Austria-Hungary and Poland. He was raised in the religion and traditions of Judaism in California. Subsequently, he came to faith in Christ in 1970. Shortly thereafter Tuvya moved to Israel where he was able to integrate his newfound faith and ethnic Jewish identity.
