Biblical Theology from a Chinese Perspective: Interpreting Scripture through the Lens of Honor and Shame

Abstract

How might a Chinese cultural lens sharpen the contours of biblical theology? What happens when we intentionally interpret Scripture from a cultural perspective? The result can be called an “exegetical contextualization.” In this article I give an example of exegetical contextualization from a Chinese perspective.
